Dotty for You Pinwheel Wreath

For Close to My Heart’s day long conference in New Jersey last weekend, I was one of about 15 consultants asked to participate in an Operation Smile Silent Auction. Of course, I was inspired by the Dotty for You Paper Pack and Pinterest and chose to create this wreath. I’ve also submitted it in the Summer Home Decor Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Basic Instructions:

  • I picked up a foam wreath from Michael’s and wrapped it using White Grosgrain Ribbon. To tack it to the wreath, i just used small straight pins.
  • For the pinwheels, I wanted the edges to be scalloped. So I used my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and cut out the <Square 2>. The squares are 5 ” & 6″. I just added a Glue Dot to the center of each pinwheel to hold the tips to the center. Then I added the pinwheels to the wreath using long straight pins.
  • For the final detail, I added Buttons threaded with Paradise Baker’s Twine and added them to the center of the pinwheels using my hot glue gun.

The colors in this Dotty for You Kit are just perfect to get your summer going!

Hugs, M
